Terry Aultman and 55 Year Old Brenda Aultman were murdered in Daytona Beach on Sunday. The suspect of the case has been reportedly arrested.
A middle-aged married couple Terry Aultman and Brenda Aultman were killed while cycling home from a Bike Week event over the weekend. Later, Police declared they have a suspect of interest in the duel homicide and asked for the public’s support in connecting him.
In an impromptu news conference, the Daytona Beach Police Department Chief Jakari Young stated the couple, Terry Aultamn of 48 years old and Brenda,55, were locals. He further described it as “probably one of the most vicious and gruesome incidents that I’ve witnessed in my 20 years” on the job.
As per the news release from the City of Daytona Beach, Police officers received a 911 call from a man shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, who reported the Aultman couple covered with blood lying unconsciously in a grassy near to the sidewalk.
Terry Aultmand alongside his wife Brenda Aultman was found dead in Dayton Beach. At first, officers thought the pair were dealing with a hit-and-run accident while observing the paramedics on the scene.
When Police arrived on the spot, they observed the injuries and realized the incident was anything related to a hit-and-run; they even noticed the stab wounds and throats slashed of the victims.
Chief Jakari Young explained the ruthless attack didn’t seem to be the result of a robbery, as cobs encountered “valuables that were left in their possession.”
Detective obtained a snippet of surveillance video that hold a clue regarding the incident. On Tuesday, the video footage was released where a “man of unknown race” walking in the area wearing light-colored jeans, red gloves, a gray tank-top, work boots with a backpack, and a dark Boonie-style hat can be spotted.
Daytona Beach police declared the suspect who murdered a married couple last weekend has been arrested. On Thurday, Jean Robert Maceran 32 years old was imprisoned at around 11 a.m. from his residence at Pointe vista Circle in Orlando.
Young announced through his Twitter handle as he says, “Macean was taken into custody with the help of U.S Marshalls, the Orlando Police Department, and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.”
Macean reached Dayton Beach by a public vehicle on Saturday during Bike Week and left the area Sunday, stated by Young at a news conference on Thursday night.
Jean R. Macean is currently in prison as he was arrested for the murder of a married couple Terry Aultman and Brenda Aultman.
Police say Jean R. Macean was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the killings of the pair. Investigating officers say the victims were riding their bicycles home from Main Streek when they were attacked.
While investing the case, the DNA from the victim’s fingernails has been taken from the scene. Chief Young said, “The suspect Jean R. Macean is now in custody for these heinous crimes.”
