He was born on the 31st of January 1981 and named Justin RandallTimberlake in Memphis, Tennessee. His parents, Randall “Randy” Timberlake and Lynn Bomer, raised him as a member of the Baptist choir in Shelby Forest, where he spent his childhood. In his family, there was a couple of musicians who encouraged his young and beautiful talent. His grandfather taught him to play the guitar and also introduced him to songs by Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash at the time. For his part, his father introduced him to songs by bands like Eagles and Queen. Her parents, however, divorced in 1985 and both remarried. They have always maintained the relationship between them.

Justin Timberlake’s Previous Super Bowl Performance

Justin Timberlake, 2018 Super Bowl Halftime Performer will make his third appearance in the famous football competition. He is one of the top American musicians to have repeat performances in the Super Bowl which is watched by millions all over the world if not beyond!

His third appearance as a Super Bowl LII Performer is his first since his landmark 2004 Move Your Body Performance with Janet Jackson. During this period, he tore a piece of his suit top due to what he called a “wardrobe malfunction” during their halftime performance. The unfortunate incident was dubbed ‘Nipplegate’ because it blatantly exposed Janet Jackson’s right breast. During a duet with her, Justin grabbed her leather bodice, perhaps much more than he should have and, in this case, ripped a stain that covered her with the concealed and publicly invisible breast.

These played out in seconds but the eyes of keen observers were quick to capture and the memories of the back screen. Both apologized and the 2018 Super Bowl Halftime entertainer called the unveiling a “wardrobe malfunction.” We accept his apologies and will not abuse the event. But maybe naming him as the Super Bowl LII performer for 2018 just sparks the imagination as to whether there’s likely to be a repeat of that event. We sincerely hope not!

He is also a former Super Bowl quarterback performer in 2001 (as part of NSYNC, alongside Aerosmith, Mary J Blige, Nelly and then-girlfriend Britney Spears) and in 2004 he sang alongside Jessica Simpson, P Diddy, Nelly (again) and Kid Rock. Thus, this will be his 3rd appearance as a Super Bowl LII Performer.

  • He could sing the Carl Douglas hit Combat from Kung Fu
  • He could do the show without a guest star. This contrasts with rumors that there could be an NSYNC reunion.
  • A lot has been said about Prince. The Minnesota Vikings played in Purple Prince, and the late singer even recorded a Purple and Gold fight song to be played at their games. The Super Bowl entertainer respects Prince and Michael Jackson for having the biggest influence in shaking up his music. Upon Prince’s death in 2016, he said, “He’s in every song I’ve written.” That’s why it will be even more memorable if he takes this opportunity to pay tribute to the deceased musician. Maybe, expect something about it from him.
