Juanita Wilkinson is the ex-wife of an American former professional boxer, motivational speaker, and occasional actor, Sugar Ray Leonard.
The pair were married for a decade but they have been separated.
Juanita and her partner Sugar Ray Leonard met while they were in high school. Sugar Ray Leonard proposed to Juanita on the eve of his first championship fight.
The pair got married in January 1980 and started their family. They share two sons, Ray Leonard Jr. and Jarrel Leonard. Their child Ray Jr., served as the ring bearer.
They divorced in the year 1990. Juanita Wilkinson claimed that her husband was abusing her physically under the influence of alcohol.
She revealed that he used cocaine as well. Sugar Leonard also confirmed his wife’s claims and disclosed that the problems of their marriage were not because of drug use or alcohol.
Wilkinson and Sugar Ray Leonard were spotted coming out of a Montgomery County courtroom with their arms around each other and they kissed.
As per their divorce settlement from the court, they had to divide the multimillion-dollar estates, avoid negative media coverage and protect their children.
