Biography,
Su Yung was born in Seattle, Washington in the United States of America on June 30, 1989; and was called Vannarah Riggs by her parents. Su Yung, as she is known professionally, has not disclosed information about her parents – their names, who they are, what they did for a living, when they got married, how many children they have/had, etc., to the public at all.
Although she is active on social media, she has never used this medium to divulge information about her early childhood. She has also chosen to keep her education history a mystery to the public, as there is no record of the educational institutions she attended or the degrees earned.

Wrestling career
Su Yung started her professional wrestling career when she was just 18 in 2007; she moved to Tennessee in order to pursue her dreams, working for several wrestling organizers in the Memphis area of Tennessee. She finally got her first big break in 2010, when she performed in the main event of Championship Wrestling. She took on Tracy Taylor and won; it was the birth of the villain – Su Yung.
She joined WWE in 2010 and changed her name twice in two months, first to Vannah and then to Sonia to adjust to her new profile. She lost her first WWE match to AJ Lee and was released from her developmental contract in August 2011.
She then joined the Shimmerleague Female Athletes for 7 years, also working side by side with the Shine Wrestling Federation, before leaving them in 2018 and 2014 respectively. She joined IMPACT Wrestling since 2018 and has been with them ever since.
Marriage and children
In 2012, Su Yung started dating a fellow professional wrestler known as Rich Swann. Swann’s real name is Richard Allen Swann. He is a former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) champion and a former cruiserweight champion. They dated for more than five years, and towards the end of the 5th grade, Richard proposed to Su Yung and she accepted. They tied the knot in March 2017 and have been perfectly married for over two years.
The couple have yet to have any children together as they are both focused on their individual careers at the moment, but in the near future they will eventually settle down to have a proper family and children.
Assaulted and “kidnapped” by her husband
In December 2017, after a fight, when she was walking home with her husband, her husband criticized her performance in her wrestling match and somehow the argument fell out of her hands and she had to jump of his vehicle which was moving slowly for fear that he would become violent.
According to testimony from witnesses present on the same day, Rich got out of his moving vehicle – which was driving slowly to hit a telephone pole – chased down Su Yung, grabbed her by the arm and put her in a headband. , while dragging her to their car. Eyewitnesses said they saw Su Yung banging on the window of the vehicle as her husband sped away. Police arrested Swann on December 10, 2017 and charged him with battery and kidnapping, despite the victim being his wife.

He was later released on bail that day and released from jail. On January 25, 2018, all charges against Swann were dropped as prosecutors argued they did not have sufficient evidence to proceed with the case.

Although the exact figure is not known, Su Yungest says between $100,000 and $300,000. She has been wrestling for over a decade now and has racked up quite a bit of money for her in-ring efforts. Her husband, Rich Swann, is worth around $500,000.
