Steve Spagnuolo wife Maria Spagnuolo met the football coach on a blind date for the first time. Steve married Maria on July 9, 2005.
Steve was born on December 21, 1959, in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, U.S. The veteran coach currently works as a defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs. Spagnuolo has two Super Bowl rings under his name.
Steve used to be a player himself, but he knew because of his shorter height, he might not have a long professional career. A coach used to be the wide receiver at Springfield College.
Steve’s NFL coaching career started at the Philadelphia Eagles organization, where he served as a linebacker and defensive backs coach in 1999.
After that, the talented went on to be a part of the New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, and Baltimore Ravens, and the position of head coach at St. Louis Rams.
Steve’s coaching career wouldn’t have been much successful if it wasn’t for his other half. The coach’s life partner Maria always encouraged him to do better whenever our coach felt down while coaching.
Maria Spagnuolo Is A Hairdresser
Maria Spagnuolo has worked as a hairdresser. Steve and Maria got married in Vatican city.
Before meeting with Steve, Maria worked at a famous Nirvana Hair Gallery. As a hairdresser, she was responsible for cutting, coloring, and styling the hair.
Steve and Maria would have lived the same if it weren’t for their friend. The friend of the coach had to go through a lot of convincing before meeting with Maria. His friends had to convince Steve to go out with Maria for a month.
The cutest fact about them is that the coach and his partner didn’t date alone until the third date. But now, whenever Steve is asked about his spouse, the only thing he says is he has been lucky.
As a partner of a coach, Maria completely understands the hardship that Steve has to go through. Even at the time when Maria had a job as a hairstylist, she always gave Steve some space. She used to visit steve and helped him to stock up on the fridge, clean the apartment, and give him some form of motivation.
Maria Supportive Career Towards Steve
In 2005 when they married, they didn’t even inform each other’s family.
Both of them didn’t tell anyone about their plan to get married. They silently booked the ticket for Italy and informed each other’s families two days before the wedding. But the family from both sides was happy with the news as they finally decided to marry.
Since then, they have been a great support system for one another. It became clear after the incident of 2007, as during that time, Steve was aiming to be the Defensive Coordinator, but he resigned as linebackers coach in the Eagles.
If Steve solely took the decision, he would have signed the deal right there by losing all hope. But this time, he had Maria’s support, who convinced Steve to wait over the weekend.
Steve agreed to his other half, and the next morning Giants coach at that time, Tom Coughlin, gave him a call to come for an interview. The veteran coach nailed the interview, and finally, he got the position of Defensive Coordinator.
In 2010, Maria spoke for the family haven. The kind woman not only donated to the campaign. But she also appealed to everyone to visit the family haven and make a few donations.
While speaking for the campaign, she also revealed a little about her childhood. Maria said that while growing up, her family had helped a homeless man who was an alcoholic.
Steve Spagnuolo Family
Steve Spagnuolo family has his mother and four siblings. They are Donna, Debra, Kurt, and Kevin Spagnuolo.
Apart from family and career, Maria is also interested in baking sweets. Maria sends sweets to her husband whenever he goes out to practice. In fact, during Steve’s days in Giants, his better half’s banana pudding was wildly famous even among his players.
The coach didn’t have a perfect childhood as he was brought up by a single mother Carol. Carol was divorced from her husband and worked as a grammar teacher in school.
Steve, the eldest, was responsible for the entire family from a young age. But the veteran coach was always clever with his decisions and never dreamed of being an NFL player instead, he dreamed of being an NFL coach, which he later succeeded.
