Sterling K. Brown is an African-American actor and model. He’s been an actor since 2001, but he’s best known for his role in the first season of the crime drama television series Anthology. The people c. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story. His role on the show won him an Emmy Award and brought him even greater fame than he enjoyed before.
Sterling earned his second Emmy, a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award with his portrayal of Randall Pearson in the NBC drama This Is Us. Most recently, he appeared in Black Panther and still has some amazing roles lined up for 2019.

Sterling Kelby Brown was born on the 5th day of April 1976, in St Louis, Missouri, to his father, Sterling Brown Jr – who died in 1986 when young Sterling was just 10 years old – and his mother, Aralean Banks Brown.
He was raised alongside four siblings, two sisters and two brothers; Robert and Armand Brown. Growing up, Sterling was called Kelby, but when he turned 16, he made a change preferring to be called Sterling. He went on to explain how the change took place saying that his mother told him he made the decision when he was much younger, simply because Sterling had eight letters and Kelby had five. But apparently, for young Kelby, changing his name meant that the child was no longer an adult.
Sterling K. Brown grew up in a Christian home. He was educated at Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School and received a Bachelor of Arts from Stanford University in 1998. He also received a Master of Fine Arts from Tisch School of the Arts
After many years of honing his skills, Sterling K. Brown went straight to acting with various roles in regional theater. He soon hit the big screens appearing on such TV shows as ER, NYPD Blue, TIP, Boston Legal, Alias and a host of others. On television, he maintained a constant appearance on Hungry, a comedy sitcom. Exhausting harder, he took the bull by the horn to enter films with appearances in films like Brown Sugar (2002), Stay (2005) and Trust the Man (2005).
