Stephanie Meadow Is Getting Married To Her Long-Time Boyfriend Kyle Kallan

Irish Golfer Stephanie Meadow knew she was ready to get married after Kyle put a ring on her finger during the lockdown. The pair shared the news of their engagement on Instagram, as she posed with a ring on her hand.

While a professional golfer and their caddie holding a commitment outside the golf course, is uncommon, the Northern Irish golfer Stephanie is among the few special ones.

The Belfast Telegraph wrote about her experience with the sudden surprise of her life, and how her happiness had no limit. She had been dating Kyle for more than two years and was spending the lockdown together.

On the day he proposed to her, Meadow felt it was just an average walk in the woods but Kyle made it one of the most special days of her life. She had a big smile on her face, as she explained how her caddie got down on one knee while hiking with their dog approximately a quarter of the way up a mountain.

The Mexican professional golfer and her love life has taken the attention of many news portals, while the wedding date is still undecided.

Stephanie Meadow And Kyle Kallan Are Preparing To Get Married

Stephanie Meadow and Kyle Kallan are among the most adorable pairs in golf, who are getting married to their caddie.

The lovely pair are engaged since 2020, but Stephanie has assured that their marriage will be well-planned and organized.

Being together with her partner of almost 5 years, the Northern Irish golfer still remembers the day they first met; it was at a dinner at Green Bay, planned by their mutual friends in 2017.

While they did not provide an exact date for their wedding, hints of them exchanging vows in the Atlantic are mentioned in her statements to Belfast Telegraph.

Stephanie has often revealed that she has watched Say Yes To The Dress, and the golfer thinks dress shopping will probably be a long process for her due to her picky nature.

She also indicated that she wanted a big party after the lockdown and pandemic were over. Now that Covid-19 is over for almost 2 years, it’s just a matter of time before they announce their big day.

After the engagement, she said the ring was the only silverware she had to carry that year, referring to the postponed and canceled competitions.

Stephanie Wanted Her Father To Meet Her Fiancé Kyle

After Kyle and Stephanie got engaged, she once spoke to The42 about her wish to see her father and tell him the good news.

Remembering her dad Robert, who was taken by pancreatic cancer in 2015, Stephanie felt that he would be really happy to see her getting married.

Although Kyle never got the chance to meet Robert, she feels that her dad would have loved him. While is sad to talk about, it’s not the first time she has thought about it because it’s something Meadow dreams about, walking down the aisle with her dad. Keeping aside her sadness about missing her dad, she ensured her other family members knew about the news.

She spent three hours trying to ring her mom to tell her she was engaged.

When she Facetimed her relative in Ireland to share the good news, she ran into further communication issues. The only thing her relative could make out on the screen was that the golf pro was shouting, “surprise.”

She was unable to understand the cause of all the excitement. However, later that day, everything made sense when their phone connection improved, and it was easier to see the ring perched on her finger. After receiving the news, her cousin remarked with a simple answer that he already guessed it.

Moreover, it was easy for Meadow to reveal her good news to her mom as she was near her during the lockdown. She lived outside Phoenix, Arizona, which was pretty close to her. The Irish player believes that it was great that, even with social distancing, she could still see her mum and the same with Kyle’s parents.

Golfer Stephanie Plans To Buy House For The Couple

Stephanie and Kyle are already planning to settle down for the future, as news of her looking to buy a house came out recently.

During her professional debut at the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open on Pinehurst No. 2, she ranked third winning $285,102 with her efforts. It was a massive sum for a newly graduated college student.

Even though it was difficult for her in the early days, after losing her father, she eventually stood back on her feet. While she was receiving a significant payout from her career, the U.S. Women’s Open prize money has made their lives much better.

Since she was getting married soon, it would not be a bad decision for her to purchase a home. Still, she must measure the risk of doing so against the likelihood that she could suffer an injury or experience another difficult period where no money is flowing in. Instead, she wants to live a happy life with her soon-to-be husband, Kallan.

She claimed that as one age, they become more aware of how fortunate the PGA Tour players are.

Stephanie Meadow Plays Better With Partner Kallan

Meadow was accustomed to her caddie-turned-partner Kyle Kallan, and had many successes when he was on the bag duty.

She felt at home with him around her, which became a issue when she changed her caddie with veteran Scotty Leonard, during Pelican Championship.

Meadow shot a 4-under par total, continuing the couple’s recent trend of consistency in the opening round of the Garden City Charity Classic on the Symetra Tour in September 2018.

The golfer only missed one cut in their previous four events together, finishing tied for 26th at the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation Women’s Health Classic, tied for fourth at the Four Winds Invitational, and solo second at the Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic in the Empire State.

She says it is nice not to be alone and to have someone to talk the shots through. Moreover, Kallan carries a wealth of experience with him.
