Statement: Is Freddie Mercury Gay?
The statement of Freddie Mercury being gay has not come to the surface yet.
In fact, when Mercury was asked by New Musical Express directly about his sexual orientation, he said “You’re a crafty cow. Let’s put it this way: there were times when I was young and green. It’s a thing schoolboys go through. I’ve had my share of schoolboy pranks. I’m not going to elaborate further.”
According to his Wikipedia profile, many people believe he was a self-confessed bisexual but other people argue he was openly gay. Some people also comment he hid his sexual orientation from the public throughout his life.
Well that being said, explaining Freddie’s sexuality seems to be very complex as there is no evidence of him speaking openly about his sexual orientation with the general public available on the web as of now.
