Stanley Phillip Gold (born September 10, 1942) is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Shamrock Holdings, a private investment firm owned by Roy E. Disney. He was on the board of directors of the Walt Disney Company from 1984 to 1987 and again from 2003 until present. He and Roy resigned in order to launch a public effort to remove then CEO and Chairman of the Board Michael Eisner from his position. In 1984, he also assisted in the ouster of CEO Ron W. Miller and the hiring of Eisner. As a former chairman of the board of trustees of the University of Southern California (USC) and the University of Southern California Law School, he has provided leadership and financial support to many Jewish groups, as well as being a major political donor. Among the memorabilia on display at his home study are customised autographs from Babe Ruth and Stan Musial, both of whom have signed for him. Porsche cars are among his favourite things to collect.
