NORTH PORT, Fla. – Local and state fire crews are working to put out a brush fire that sparked just north of Interstate 75. Crews with the North Port Fire Rescue and Florida Fire Services have been on the scene of a brush fire near mile marker 176, just north of the interstate.
The fire is in a difficult area for crews to access, officials said. Thick smoke can make lower visibility, so use caution when traveling through the area.
