St. Barnabas Girls Secondary School is a religious organisation sponsored mixed day school located in East Katieno Sub location, North Central Seme Location, Kombewa Division, Kisumu Rural Constituency in Kisumu County. For further information please see the school contacts below.
The school was started in 1984 as Sabwani Mixed Secondary School by the ADC to serve children of the community. The school was later changed to st. Barnabas Girls Sabwani in 2015. Sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Kitale under the able stewardship of his Lordship Bishop.
The school has a chaplain who takes care of spiritual guidance of the students.
The school is dedicated to co-curriculum activities where they have participated in Music festivals up to regional level and the basketball team up to County level. It’s a girls-only school. The school is located along Kitale-Suam road 11 Kilometers from Kitale Town to the bull station and 200 meters from the tarmac road in Endebess Constituency and sits on 17 acres of land. Part of the land is used for seed maize and dairy farming.
The school is in a serene environment for a conducive environment for learning.
