D’Onofrio first played the character in Season 1 of Netflix’s Daredevil. After, the show’s cancellation, he reprised his role in Hawkeye.
For weeks, Hawkeye fans suspected Kingpin would show up in the series. The series also teased a mysterious “big guy” at the top of the Tracksuit Mafia.

Is Kingpin Really Dead Or Still Alive?
Hawkeye’s Kingpin reveal was a massive moment in episode 5 of the series.
However, the character is not dead, he will be alive on the show, until it’s the finale.
In the Disney+ series Hawkeye, Kingpin is shown to have become involved with Eleanor Bishop, mother of Kate Bishop.
It is a significant moment for both the MCU and Hawkeye to have brought back the character once again.
Kingpin & Hawkeye Character Plot And Twist
Hawke’s Kingpin twist has created a plot hole at the heart of MCU phase 4. It seems like it will all come back to Black Widow.
According to the series, Eleanor Bishop or possibly Kingpin had hired Yelena to take out Hawkeye.
However, Hawkeye doesn’t quite work with Black Widow’s post-credit scene timeline.
For the Black Widow post-credits scene to work, Eleanor would’ve had to hire Yelena long before the events of Hawkeye.
Nevertheless, the plothole shows cracks in Marvel’s master plan.
