Chaz Bono’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Chaz Bono net worth: Chaz Bono is an American advocate, writer and musician who has a net worth of $500 thousand. Chaz Bono may not be one of the wealthiest celebrities around, but he’s done lots of valuable work in a field that provides more than just a net worth. Born Chastity Bono to famous parents Sonny Bono and Cher, Bono was named after the film Chastity, which was produced by Sonny for Cher to star in. From a young age, Chastity knew there was something that separated her from other girls. At age 18, she came out to her parents as a lesbian, and was publicly outed by the tabloids in 1995. A couple of years before that, Chaz (who was still going by his female identity of Chastity), was in a band called Ceremony. Their first and only album, Hang Out Your Poetry, was characterized by its “stripped down” sound, featuring no synthesizers and no digital manipulation of any kind. In 2008, Chaz began his transition from his previous female identity to his current male one. The event garnered all kinds of media attention and was the subject of a documentary movie entitled Becoming Chaz. The transition finally became official in the summer of 2010, when a California court granted Chaz’s request for a legal name and gender change.
