American rapper and record producer, DeAndre Cortez “Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em” Way, has an estimated net worth of $30 million. Before he reached the age of 18, Soulja Boy was already an ambitious artist and a seasoned businessman, wielding all the hitmaking requirements: producer, live entertainer, and an ability to write catchy hooks. Born DeAndre Cortez Way; July 28, 1990 in Chicago, IL, Way moved from the Windy City down to Atlanta when he was six years old, but then went to live with his father in Batesville, MS at age 14. In Mississippi, the young entertainer found all the various connections to pursue a musical career seriously, including the aid of his father, who provided a recording studio.
Soulja Boy rocketed to fame in 2007 after the release of “Crank That (Soulja Boy),” which was originally self-published on the Internet. The song spent seven weeks atop Billboard’s Hot 100 charts; Way became the youngest artist to write, perform and produce a No. 1 song in nearly 20 years. Thanks to rigorous touring schedule and record-setting ringtone download totals, he makes his Cash Kings debut in 2010; his album, DeAndre’s Way, came out in 2010.
