Pope Skinny was born on the 21 January 1987 in Amanokrom Akuapem, in the eastern region of Ghana, He comes from the family of Mr and Mrs Williams Akonnor and suhsan uhene Darko.

He was raised up in Accra, Capital of Ghana his parents are full indigene of Ghana.

Pope skinny obtained his elementary education grades at Based ordinance Depot School, Accra(Burma camp).He obtained his Weac certificate from Adonten senior secondary school, Aburi Ghana.

Career

Pope skinny music career started when he was in junior secondary school, Having discovered his talents he started performing his numerous local shows such as kida fest and fun world.

Polo G while in the secondary school levels formed a rap group with two of is college mate; king Kampala and Abortion.

This rap group formed by Polo G was name“kokrokoo”The rap group did not last long due to due some circumstances. But before he leaves the high school he founded another crew which he collaborated with another rapper.

After Pope graduation from the high school, he released his debut Album “Mripa” which is further retranslate as “Good Time”.

This album was drope when he was signed into Prince Drave Record label.

In 2019, he dropped his hit single“Ghanian Girlz” which he featured 4×4.

This song was a real hit and which trend on the internet and on major tv, Ghanian radio station for a month.

In 2011, pope skinny dropped his second album Round 2, the album contain twenty song and some of this song was featured by top Ghanian artist, e.g. “Shatta Wale”.
