Sissi Enestam Wikipedia Age – How Old Is Astrophysicist?

Sissi Enestam’s Wikipedia & Age

Enestam is a 36-year-old Finnish astrophysicist who studies black holes. She had a dream of becoming an astronaut since her exchange student days.

She was heartbroken as she got disqualified from the ESA’s astronaut search. She believes that might be due to her unfinished dissertation.

She knew about the tough competition in the search but still, she wanted to try her luck no matter if she failed.

A master’s degree in mathematics, the natural sciences, medicine, engineering, or information technology is required for admission. A given field requires at least three years of job experience.

For her dissertation, she studies supermassive black holes in active galactic nuclei. The research would not have been completed if she had been an astronaut, but she could have done other research from space.

In her opinion, the Finnish government could fund more money into space research as it is beneficial on earth, and space is a challenging environment. If we travel there, we’ll need to develop many modern innovations and technology.

The ESA’s astronaut search happens every ten years as the age limit is 50 years, and she still has an opportunity to get selected. In the meantime, she can complete her dissertation.
