But Wiles had cleared make the accusations as misinformation.
Wiles explained that on the day the video was shot, she and a companion rode to Judges Bay, some 5 kilometers from her house.
They took off their masks to chat because the beach was “near-deserted.”
In a tweet later, Wiles accepted that her friend broke the rule by getting into the water, which was a mistake she accepted.
The video has become a political debate. Over the video, national leader Judith Collins labeled Wiles a “big fat hypocrite.”
