Born and raised in Texas, Kacey Musgraves loves Hispanic music and culture even though she is not a Hispanic herself.
Growing up, Kacey was surrounded by Spanish-speaking people, which influenced her to become fluent in the language. On her fifth album, Star-Crossed, she sings in Spanish for the final song, Gracias A La Vida.
She was inspired by Violeta Parra’s song Gracias A La Vida and felt it was the perfect tone to end the album on, with a feeling of gratitude.
Kacey surprised fans by making an unannounced appearance at Tavern on Camac, a Philadelphia gay bar, two days before her performance at the Wells Fargo Center on January 26 as part of her 2022 Star-Crossed: Unveiled Tour.
She became a hot topic after performing a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s classic “Dreams.”

Kacey Musgraves is not of Hispanic origin. Craig and Karen Musgraves gave birth to Kacey Lee Musgraves in 1988 on August 21. Her first wail as she was welcomed into the world was in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
Her father was the proud owner of a small printing company in the heart of Mineola called M-Prints Printing, Inc., and her mother spent her days as an artist, always covered in paint.
Her parents were very supportive of her ambitions, taking the time to print out flyers at their shop while her grandma took the role of booking her gigs.
