Shruti Haasan, an Indian actress and playback singer, was born on January 28, 1986. She mostly appears in Telugu, Hindi, and Tamil films.
Before making her acting debut in the Hindi film Luck (2009), for which she was nominated for a Stardust Award for Superstar of Tomorrow – Female, she performed in films as a child artist and played a guest part in her father Kamal Haasan’s Hey Ram (2000).
She made her debut in Tamil with 7aum Arivu and Telugu with Anaganaga O Dheerudu both in 2011.
For both of these films, she got the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South.
With the Telugu movies Oh My Friend (2011) and Veera Simha Reddy (2023), as well as the Tamil movies Vedalam (2015) and Si3 (2017), Haasan gained further recognition.
