After reacting to a domestic violence call in Brooklyn, a freshman New York cop has been shot and killed while his partner is in critical condition, battling for his life.
Jason Rivera, who joined scarcely a year earlier, in November 2020, has been pronounced dead. His partner, Wibert Mora, who signed up for the NYPD in 2018, is believed to fighting for his life.

Jason Rivera was a New York Police Department (NYPD) officer who signed up a little over a year ago in November 2020.
At around 5:10 pm, the pair were responding to a domestic violence call that involved a mother and her son living on West 135th Street.
When the officers tried to have a conversation, the shooter in a backroom shot the officers. It is believed that one of the officers was struck right in the face by the gunfire.
Apparently, the shooter, Lashawn J. McNeil, aged 47, who was out on probation at the time, also died. Reportedly, the third officer at the scene shot McNeil after the two authorities were struck by gunfire.

Unfortunately, a rookie NYPD officer, Jason Rivera, was shot to death at the crime scene. He was pronounced dead on the spot. Various police sources initially claimed that both of the officers have died.
