Shericka Jackson is a Jamaican sprinter specializing in the 400 meters and, since 2021, in shorter distances. In her longtime signature event of 400 m, she won bronze medals at the 2016 Olympics, 2015 World Championships, and 2019 World Championships.
Who is Karl Christie?
Karl Christie is Shericka’s stepfather. He is the number one fan of her stepdaughter and she is very proud of her. Her stepfather Karl (Christie), encouraged Jackson to get better.
“I know she can reach anywhere she wants to and reach because she is very talented. There is a lot more success for her to come and we are just giving thanks,” he said. He added that as an athletics lover, it means a lot to see Jackson excel.
“I feel so proud, just to see from early on until now it just feels nice. She can go … much better, the next World Championships, we are looking for more than that she has all my support, 1000 percent.”
