Three days later, she was found dead in a car which was crashed against a tree trunk and she was on the driver seat which was oddly pushed back as much as it could, reports Oxygen.

Shannon Poteet went missing in 1986 and was later found dead, which is now suspected to be a murder.

The incident dates back to the time when Shannon reportedly left in the vehicle leaving her daughter Sara behind with him, as said by her husband Lonnie Poteet.

She went missing and there was no contact with her until she was found dead with blood in a tree trunk three days later in the forest.

She was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle which was pushed back all the way to the back which was odd and suspective.

The case was left behind by labeling it as a homicide and was not further investigated back in time.

But as the Cold Justice team is searching for details in co-operation with the police, several facts have come forward.

Furthermore, Shannon’s dental remains were also found in the forest by some hikers which have hinted it towards being a possible murder rather than an accident.

As the investigation, carries on, several suspects have come forward including her husband Lonnie.
