Servant Season 4 Episode 10 Ending Explained
Servant Season 4 Episode 10 ending saw Leanne sacrificing her life for the sake of all. She kills herself by burning with her screams echoing through the air.
In the end, Dorothy tells the young nanny that she was not evil. She tells her that bringing Jericho back was the kindest thing she has done. However, it can’t continue further.
She admits that her pain is part of her undying love for her child. She then says she would be proud to have a daughter like Grayson. Hearing this, the nanny makes her own decision.
Grayson then dries off Dorothy’s feet and bids goodbye, with Dorothy puzzled by her action. She tells the Turners and Julian she needs to go inside the house to retrieve something Uncle George left her.
She was preparing to end her life to save the world. She found it as the only way to keep the entire family she loves safe.
Leanne locks the door, takes the knife she had used against Uncle George, and apologizes to him. She then pours gasoline across the house, eventually lighting up the match.
That child, the Jericho doll, and that spot were the main source of so much pain. It was all baptized in flames.
While the flames grew, Grayson listened to her favorite music and danced. She called Tobe and made plans she knew she would never keep. She finally makes peace with her mother.
There is a shadow of her mother (the mannequin) in the light of the fiver over her. Grayson did terrible things with her powers, but she was never a bad person and deserved better.
In a beautiful moment, she uses Dorothy’s perfume to blind herself and cuts her arms to continue the ritual.
The last scene ultimately captures all the terror and horror the series has been bottling up. The nanny sacrifices herself for the world and burns.
Servant Season 4 Episode 10 Recap
The final episode of Season 4 starts with Dorothy making her choice. She feels she needs a moment alone and asks Sean and Julian to go and wait in the car.
She then walks into the house and learns Leanne has sent Jericho away. She then tells her she can’t let her bring Jericho back because it is wrong. The love she feels for her son includes the pain of his demise.
The Faustian bargain was rejected, and the heartbroken nanny rails against God. She turned out to be powerful -maybe not the Devil, but a demon born from sadness and neglect.
Turner gives the young girl understanding, wisdom, love, and forgiveness. As the storm raged, the Servant’s truth was revealed. Though there were supernatural elements, it has always been about pain, trauma, and love.
Dorothy eventually says, “I would have been so proud to have a daughter like you.” Grayson believes she is too dangerous to be around and tells her to head back inside.
She then decides to sacrifice her life for the world. After the fire burns her and the house, the skies clear, and no other houses are affected. Cult from across the road confirmed that Leanne did this to herself.
The Turners and Julian are reeling from the recent event. The trio had already forgiven Grayson and wanted to find other solutions that wouldn’t need her demise.
Sean and Dorothy decide to leave and reconnect in a way they haven’t been since before their child’s birth. They decide to start over and leave stronger than they were before.
