On March 7, Sejaan Azzi, the minister of labor for Lebanon, met with Ruba Jaradat, the ILO’s regional director for the Arab States, and other ILO representatives in the organization’s regional office in Beirut.
The principal method by which the ILO provides assistance to nations is the National Decent Work Country Programme (DWCP), which was the topic of discussion at the conference.
In order to promote decent work as a crucial element of national development strategies and to organize ILO knowledge, tools, advocacy, and cooperation at the service of tripartite constituents to advance the Decent Work Agenda in Lebanon, Jaradat welcomed the Minister and expressed her confidence that the Lebanon DWCP would be finalized and implemented soon.
