Frank Beard’s net worth, biography, fact, career, awards and life story

Frank Beard New Worth: Frank Beard is an American drummer who has a net worth of $50 million. Frank Beard was born June 11, 1949 in Frankston, Texas. He is best known as the drummer for the American rock back ZZ Top. Ironically, Frank Beard is the only musician in the band without a beard. He was formerly with the bands The Cellar Dwellers, who originally were a three-piece band, The Hustlers, The Warlocks and American Blues before playing and recording with Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill as ZZ Top. In late 1969, Beard joined The Moving Sidewalks’ guitarist and vocalist Gibbons in ZZ Top. Beard also introduced Gibbons to bassist and vocalist Dusty Hill, with whom Beard had played in the bands American Blues, the Warlocks and the Cellar Dwellers. ZZ Top proceeded to tighten up their trademark “Texas boogie-blues-rock” style and released their aptly titled “ZZ Top’s First Album” on London Records in January of 1971. In the early days of ZZ Top, Beard was known by the nickname “Rube” and was credited as “Rube Beard” on the first album and on Tres Hombres, the band’s third album, but was credited under his real name on their second album, Rio Grande Mud. Beard is also known as the king of practical jokes within the group. Although his jokes are harmless, no one is safe. He is known for his quick, dry sense of humor and is very fast with one-liners during interviews. Once, when asked about the future of ZZ Top, Beard’s response was reportedly, “Make a record, tour and take a little break. Then, make a record, tour and take a little break.” He has been married twice. His second marriage to Debbie Meredith in November 1982 produced three children. Beard resides in Richmond, Texas with wife Debbie, where he owns and operates The Top 40 Ranch. He is a scratch golfer, known locally for participation in tournaments and community events.
