Maher is an American actor, born in Pleasantville, New York State, his father Joseph Maher and Magaret Maher. Sean graduated from Byram Hill High School, after graduating from high school, he joined New York University where he acquired his drama degree in 1997. he performed on stage in numerous productions like Yerma&into the woods.

He played as the title character, a rookie police officer, on the tv series RyanCaulfield: year one. he played one of the key roles in the short-lived which he appeared in seven episodes.in In the series The Street produced by Fox filming company, and he also played a role in the TV series Party of Five as Adam Matthew and on CSI: Miami.

Maher reprised his character from Firefly in the movie Serenity in 2005.he also acted as a chief resident in a hospital on the new series Halley’s Comet.he was a cast in the Lifetime movie The Dive From Clausen’s Pier as Michelle Trachtenberg’s new love interest, he plays as Piccolo in 2001 remake of Brian song.
He made an appearance on the tv film Wedding Wars.he took a break for a couple of months, Maher then resume to tv in 2009 as a key star in the Lifetime tv’s pilot episode of Drop Dead Diva, and also a guest actor in the second season of Mentalist produced by CBS filming production,he appeared on series Human Target(FOX)&Warehouse 13(on Syfy)
