Sarah Symmons is widely known as the second wife of the second wife of the late Irish sports commentator Tony O’Donoghue.
She came into the limelight through her marriage with the broadcaster.
Sarah Symmons and Tony O’Donoghue met on a flight to Newcastle in 2007 and they quickly hit it off.
While their relationship was blooming, O’Donoghue was diagnosed with cancer after RTE make-up artist Siobhán Power noticed a lump on his neck in 2011. He subsequently had a lump removed from his neck and underwent radiation and chemotherapy following the diagnosis.
Sarah Symmons and Tony O’Donoghue tied the knot in November 2013 in a quiet ceremony in Wicklow.
Sarah Symmons and Tony O’Donoghue remained married until he died in 2023.
Through their marriage, Sarah Symmons and Tony O’Donoghue had a son named Tim O’Donoghue, who was born a few months after Tony’s cancer diagnosis.
Tony O’Donoghue passed away on February 27, 2023, at age 86 in Ireland.
