She is also the daughter of Bishop Thomas Dexter Jakes Sr., also referred to as T.D. Jakes, and her co-pastors in Los Angeles and Denver at The Potter’s Home.

At the tender age of 13, the beautiful Sarah got pregnant and delivered her first son at 14 years of age.
Sarah graduated in the upper 10 percent of her high school class at the age of sixteen while raising her son.
She later went on to research journalism in Fort Worth, Texas, at Texas Christian University.
Sarah went on to marry her new partner, Touré Roberts, the minister of One Church International, after a failed four-year marriage to linebacker Robert Henson (with whom she had a second child). Both of them were married on November 23, 2014.
On February 10, 2016, Sarah had a third boy, Ella Roberts, along with Touré.
This brought up to six children in the sum of their mixed family: three children from Touré’s previous marriage, two children from Sarah’s previous marriage, and Ella.
At present, the family is based between Los Angeles, California, and Denver, Colorado.

Just before her divorce from Robert Hanson, Sarah began writing. Her blogs were rather intimate and candid, reflecting challenges that mirrored the emotions of many woman readers.
