Sarah Huckabee Sanders Family

Sarah Huckabee was born in Hope, Arkansas. She is the only daughter and the youngest child of politicians Mike and Janet Huckabee. 

She is of English, Scots-Irish, and German ancestry from her father’s side.

The politician has been involved in political campaigns since she was in primary school. She was nine when Mike ran for elected office for the first time. As he lacked staff members, Sarah and others would get involved and support the campaigns. 

Huckabee wanted to be a part of anything her dad wanted to do, as she was his biggest fan. She helped him by stuffing envelopes, knocking on doors, and putting up yard signs, as per The Hill.

She landed a job at the Education Department in 2004 and moved to Washington. This was an opportunity for her to branch out, as Sarah wanted to do something different outside of working for her father.

Sarah Huckabee and her political strategist husband Bryan Chatfield Sanders married on 25 May 2010 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church on St. John, U.S. Virgin Island.

The couple first met while working together for her father’s 2008 presidential campaign. It was Sarah who hired Bryan, along with some of his colleagues, to work for the campaign.

Huckabee and Sanders continued dating after the campaign ended, and they got engaged in August 2009 in Kansas.

Sarah and Bryan started the Arkansas 30-Day Fund in 2020 to help the small businesses in Arkansas that were affected during the pandemic. It helped more than 100 small businesses stay afloat during difficult times.

Who Is Bryan Chatfield Sanders?

Sanders is a political strategist and Republican campaign consultant. He worked for Mike Huckabee’s 2016 presidential campaign as a media consultant.

Bryan grew up in Mission Woods, Johnson County, Kansas. He graduated from Colby College, Waterville, Maine. He started his career as a staffer and press assistant. 

Sanders has done television advertising and polling for several presidential campaigns, congressmen, senators, and Republican governors.

The Campaigns & Elections magazine named him a “Rising Star” in 2012. Bryan’s work has also been featured in Politico, Fox News, Axios, and the Washington Post.

He has worked with several big names, including former Arizona Congressman Trent Franks, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, Attorney General Scott Pruitt, and Treasurer Lynn Fitch.

Bryan, along with his wife Sarah, founded Second Street Strategies, a consulting firm, in 2016.

Sarah Sanders has three children, Scarlett, Huck, and George. They all live in Little Rock with their golden retriever, Traveler.

In 2019, she spoke at the College of the Ozarks and stated that being the former White House press secretary was a great position, but she believes that the most important job she has is that of being a mom to her three kids.

Branson Tri-Lakes News states people frequently asked how she was present for her children while working at the White House. Sarah tried to engage them and bring them to work with her. 

Scarlett Wiles Sanders 

Scarlett is the only daughter and the first child of Sarah and Bryan. She was born on May 10, 2012. 

In October 2022, Sanders took her baby girl to her alma mater, Ouachita Baptist University. She showed Scarlett the campus and also met all the women of EEE. 

William Huckabee Sanders

William, better known as Huck, was born on October 16, 2013.

On one of the bring your child to work days, she brought her son Huck with her to the White House.

George Sanders 

George. the youngest, was born on June 8, 2015.

On his 7th birthday, Sarah posted a lovely message on Instagram. She stated that they love George’s big heart with the biggest personality to match.

Scarlett, Huck, and George all came to support Sanders on November 9, 2022, when it was announced that she had won the race to become Arkansas’s governor.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders parents Mike and Janet Huckabee have a long history of political careers. They both went to Hope High School and were high school sweethearts.

Janet and Mike married on May 25, 1974, and ever since, she has been by his side, supporting all of his political endeavors. The couple went on to have three wonderful children, John Mark, David, and Sarah H Sanders.

In an interview with TIME, Sarah stated that her dad is her political hero and inspiration. She added that he is an amazing politician but an even better parent. Mike challenges her to be a better person daily, and she is grateful for that.

Father Mike Huckabee

Michael Dale Huckabee, aka Mike Huckabee, is the former governor of Arkansas. He served as the 44th governor from July 15, 1996, to January 9, 2007. 

Huckabee was a Republican candidate for the presidential nomination in 2008 and 2016. His daughter and son-in-law both worked with him during this period. Mike had to suspend the 2016 campaign after a disappointing showing in Iowa.

Born in Hope, Arkansas, he started his career at 14 at a radio station. He was also actively involved in his high school’s student council. Mike went to Ouachita Baptist University and earned a degree in religion.

Huckabee’s upbringing in a working-class environment has heavily influenced his political views.

Mike is currently the host of “Huckabee” on TBN and occasionally serves as a Fox News contributor. He is also an author and a phenomenal bass guitarist. 

Mother Janet Huckabee

Janet is a politician and was a Republican nominee in 2002 for the Arkansas Secretary of State.

She served as the first lady of Arkansas from 1996 to 2007. She was responsible for overseeing the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion remodel.

Janet was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana, but moved to Hope, Arkansas as a child. She met her future husband, Mike, while attending high school. Huckabee went to John Brown University and earned a degree in organizational management.

According to Janet’s Instagram bio, her grandkids sweetly call her YaYa.

Sarah grew up with two brothers, John Mark Huckabee and David Huckabee. Although John and David have not chosen careers in politics, they were actively involved in Mike’s presidential campaign.

Brother David Huckabee Was Born In 1981

David worked in the Huckabee for President campaign from February 2007 to March 2008. He was the surrogate coordinator, grassroots manager, and event manager. 

He is a certified mortgage planner who went to Arkansas State University and graduated with a BA in Political Science.

David is married to Lauren Brown Huckabee, a lawyer. The couple has three beautiful children.

Lauren was in charge of running Governor Mike Huckabee’s endorsements and schedules. She is from Texarkana, Texas, and she studied law at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, as mentioned on her Facebook profile.

John Mark Huckabee Was Born On 28 November 1976

John is an actor, producer, and writer who has worked on a number of projects, including Charlie Muse, An Eye for an Eye, and Christmas: A Revenge Tale. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, USA.

He graduated from Texarkana Arkansas High School in 1995 and went on to achieve a BA in political science from Ouachita Baptist University in 2000. Huckabee founded the Screenwriter’s Consortium in May 2018.

According to his LinkedIn profile, John currently works at the Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing as a media specialist.

He was the Deputy Director of New Media Projects from August 2007 to March 2008, when Mike Huckabee was running for president.
