Samantha Harris Shapiro, an accomplished American television host, model, actress, and entertainment reporter, was born on November 27, 1973.
She became well-known after co-hosting Dancing with the Stars with Tom Bergeron from the second through the ninth seasons of the program.
Harris has hosted a number of other programs besides Dancing with the Stars, such as Fox’s The Next Joe Millionaire, and AMC Access, and even appeared as a guest co-host on The View. In May 2009, she also took over for one week as Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’s host.
At the Ambassador Theatre in New York City for six weeks in 2009, Harris made her Broadway debut in Chicago as Roxie Hart.
She performed the same role in the national tour’s Greenville, South Carolina, performance at the Peace Center after her time on Broadway.
Harris has received various honors as a result of her achievements as a singer and television personality. In November 2007, she was chosen as the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula line’s spokesperson, and she was highlighted in a wide-ranging print and media promotion.
