Sally Jenkins (born October 22, 1960) works for The Washington Post as a sports journalist and feature writer. Previously, he worked as a senior writer at Sports Illustrated. Jenkins is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in English Literature. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She is the author of twelve books, four of which were New York Times bestsellers, including No. 1 “Sum It Up: 1098 Victories, A Couple of Irrelevant Losses, and A Life In Perspective,” co-authored with legendary basketball coach Pat Summitt, and “It’s Not About the Bike,” co-authored with Lance Armstrong. Her writing has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine, GQ, and Sports Illustrated, and she has been on CNBC and NPR’s All Things Considered as a reporter.
 Jenkins had the final interview with late Penn State University football coach Joe Paterno for her publication, in which she asked him about the Jerry Sandusky sexual molestation accusations. Paterno died in January 2012. “Freeh charged that Paterno, along with athletic director Timothy Curley, university president Graham Spanier, and vice president Gary Schultz, engaged in a cover-up,” according to the critical report released by former FBI director Louis Freeh into Penn State’s handling of the Jerry Sandusky molestation allegations on July 12, 2012. Jenkins began her contribution with the remark, “Joe Paterno was a liar, there’s no question about that anymore,” and concluded that Paterno’s lack of empathy for Sandusky’s victims could only be explained by the fact that he was a liar.
