Ryuu Lavitz

Ryuu Lavitz is a very well-known internet personality who has been publishing works online for the last 11 years. Over the years, she has accumulated roughly 1million followers collectively. Her Facebook is her largest platform, sitting at a whopping 853k+ followers, continuing growth to this day. Her Instagram is currently sitting at (101k followers), TikTok (75k+ followers), Twitter (17k+ followers), Twitch (7.5k followers).

She currently creates and photographs a lot of cosplays, but she considers herself to be more of a photographer and model, rather than a cosplayer. She photographs most of her own content, and in 2018 she completed over 100 photoshoots during the year. She is very active online, releasing at least 2 sets of photographs per month on her Patreon. Multiple times throughout the year, she travels both domestically and internationally to different conventions to meet her fans. Her most iconic cosplays include Raven, Harley Quinn, Rikku, Asuka, Nightwing & Jessie (from Team Rocket). Her favorite cosplays are Nightwing and Raven. Her most difficult cosplay was Infested Kerrigan from Starcraft, and it was that specific cosplay that made her realize she did not have any interest in building armor, as it is extremely uncomfortable to wear. She prides herself on making things out of inexpensive materials and her most popular panel at conventions is “Cosplay on a Budget”. She loves meeting new people, and is very easy to talk to if you ever get the chance to meet her at a convention.

1. Ryuu Lavitz has been running her own business for over 6 years, and has been doing it full time for the last 4 years. Before she started focusing on her business full time, she was working as an Interior Designer. 

 2. She is the sole owner of her LLC, Ryuu Lavitz LLC, and owns the physical copyrights to all her works.

The list of conventions she travels to every year includes: Pax East, Katsucon, Colossal Con, Dragon Con, & New York Comic Con. She’s also made appearances at Boston Comic Con, Colossal Con East, MagFest, Another Anime Convention, Granite State Comic Con, Akon, Central Canada Comic Con, & many more. She has a convention schedule which she updates as she plans for appearances.

5. Over the last decade, Ryuu has had numerous battles with getting fake accounts removed, (better known as “Catfish Accounts”). This is where people pretend to be her by using her photos and name, for their own monetary or romantic benefits. She states that only accounts found under her Linktree are her accounts, and all other accounts are fake. She does not add fans on Steam, Xbox Live, or PSN. She does not belong to ANY dating sites and never has. She does not use services such as WhatsApp or Kik. She urges fans to report any accounts that seem suspicious, and to never give out any credit card info via private messages. 

6. When hired for a convention, she not only sells merchandise at her booth but she also runs the after parties, charity banquets, meet & greets, Photo Ops and panels. Her most frequently requested panels include “Cosplay on a Budget”, “Model & Photographer Etiquette”  and “Ask a Cosplayer”.

7.  When she runs a booth at a convention, she sells merchandise such as signed prints, stickers, buttons, pins, handmade accessories, cross-stitches and plushies. She also takes free selfies with her fans.

8. What got her into cosplay was her desire to create interesting photographs when she got bored of alternative and fashion modeling. She very much considers herself a photographer and model rather than cosplayer. She is more focused on making cool art than she is making screen accurate costumes.

9. Her hobbies outside of cosplay include: Car Maintenence / Modifying, Tropical Fishkeeping, Cooking, Gardening, & winning prizes at Arcades.

10. Some of the games she plays the most often include Terraria (504+ hours), Dead by Daylight (297+hrs), Stardew Valley (194+hrs), The Forest (159+hrs) & Rogue Legacy (100+hrs). She doesn’t enjoy MOBA style games, or FPS.  You will never find her playing games like League of Legends, or Overwatch. She much prefers adventure, survival, racing and RPG style games.
