Ryan Leaf was recently a host on Good Morning Football on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in the third week of July 2023.
This is not Ryan’s first time waking up with the cast of GMFB. One of his earliest appearances on the NFL Network podcast was in June 2019, when he gave his advice to younger quarterbacks. Since then, he has appeared as a guest multiple times throughout the years.
In 2022, the former QB replayed Sam Darnold’s Week 16 play with his commentary, and in March 2023, Leaf shared what he went through at the 1998 NFL Scouting Combine.
On his recent appearance at the podcast on June 8, 2023, Leaf gave his thoughts on having his name on the College Football Hall of Fame 2023 ballot.
Good Morning Football will return for the 2023-24 season on July 24 after more than a month of vacation. Leaf acted as a fill-in host while the original hosts were enjoying some time off.

Ryan Leaf NFL Network
Ryan Leaf appeared as a host on NFL Network Good Morning Football from July 10 to July 13, 2023.
Leaf was one of four hosts who took the lead on the podcast on July 10 and July 11 alongside Jane Slater, Cam Wolfe, and Grady Jarrett. The Monday morning show hosts spent their pretty time discussing players who will deliver the most highlights and how the division moves without Brady.
In the next half, the four looked at the Dolphins’ interest in Dalvin Cook (Denver Broncos, New York Jets, and New England Patriots are also suitors who have lined up at a chance to sign him) and how they will fare in the divisions.
Leaf ends the episode by giving his thoughts on the hometown quarterbacks of the hosts.

On Tuesday, the topic moved quickly from the hype surrounding the Colts, playing time with the Patriots in the Super Bowl by Grady, and the Jets team. Other topics touched on by the cast were the impressive performance by CJ Stroud during the OTA with the Houston Texans and the latest news on Dalvin Cook.
Ryan took the helm alongside hosts Sara Walsh, Cameron Wolfe, and Julian Love on his last day at the NFL network. Leaf and Love were asked about Philadelphia Eagles loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII and how they can use it to learn from the experience.
We ask the players at the table…

Not all were happy with whom the question was directed to.
“So yall ask guys who’ve never been close to playing in a SB how to handle a SB loss.”
“None of these folks been to a Super Bowl this what organizational cuts do to GMFB.”
Near the end, Raiders DT Matthew Butler gives his thoughts on the Raider’s chance to stay on top with Jimmy Garoppolo leading the show as starting quarterback.
