Rudolf Schenker is a German musician who has an estimated net worth of $8 million. He founded the popular hard rock band Scorpions in 1965 when he was just 17 years old. He plays the rhythm/lead guitar and is one of the main songwriters of the band. For more than 40 years of the band’s career, he was one of the major driving forces in songwriting and direction of the group in the music industry.
In 2010, the Scorpions announced that their album Sting in the Trail would be their last. Their tour that supports their newest album, Get Your Sting And Blackout World Tour, was supposed to be their last. However, they still had their farewell tour The Final Sting Tour that concluded in Munich on December 17, 2012. The band has released 19 studio albums and five live albums. It has also received various awards both in Europe and in the United States.
Rudolf Schenker has been the group’s most consistent member who has appeared in every record and performed on every tour. His younger brother, Michael Schenker, was also a member of the Scorpions in its earliest inceptions before he joined the band UFO. Rudolf was awarded the city of Hanover plaque in 2000. He is known for his energetic riffling and wild live performances that often include his swinging of his guitar over his head, and throwing the guitar up and catching it.
