Ronald Vink Disability
Ronald Vink was not born disabled. As a kid, he was a perfectly normal kid until he got cancer.
As a young kid, he got diagnosed with osteosarcoma or simply bone cancer. In order to avoid cancer spreading to other parts of the body, his right leg was to be amputated. After surgery, Vink requested to join his knee joint to the remaining parts of his leg.
This is why Ronald’s looks visually unique from every para-athlete. Despite being unable to walk, this did not stop Vink from playing Tennis. His love for tennis, which he grew at the age of 5 never faded away.
This made him win a bronze medal in the Paralympics and win several international tournaments.

Ronald Vink is married to Marjolein Buis. She is also her training and partner at her games.
His partner Marjolein is completely healthy and able to carry out standard locomotions. She also gets to travel around the world with Ronald.
