Governor of Florida Ron DeSantis, 43, and his wife Casey DeSantis, 41, have an age difference of only two years.
On October 4, 2021, Governor Ron DeSantis revealed his wife has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
The governor first released the statement to the news channel Fox News, stating Ms. Casey DeSantis is on the path of one of the most difficult journeys of her life.
He added she’s a true fighter and will not give up until she beats the disease. Further, Casey is serving as the First Lady of Florida since Mr. DeSantis assumed the role in 2019.
She started various initiatives since assuming the role of First Lady including Florida’s Black History Month theme and Hope Florida- A Pathway to Prosperity, Economic Self-Sufficiency, and Hope.”
Casey, who is an award-winning PGA Tour host, is also a three-time equestrian national championship winner. She came as a runner-up at NCAA division one champion.
