Ron Clark (Academy)

The Ron Clark Academy is a non-profit middle school, housed in a renovated red brick warehouse located in southeast Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Founded by its namesake, Ron Clark and co-founder Kim Bearden, the school has students in fifth through eighth grades, from a wide range of economic backgrounds.

Ron Clark Academy Tuition

Annual tuition at Ron Clark Academy is $18,000, but only a handful of families pay that. “The majority pay $45 a month,” Clark said, thanks to the money generated by teacher training visits, as well as corporate and philanthropic donations.

Ron Clark Academy Teachers

The Ron Clark Academy has assembled a faculty of master educators who have different teaching styles but a shared objective: to demonstrate how to improve student engagement, increase academic rigor, and create a school climate and culture that leads to success for all learners. In other words, we strive to create an environment that exemplifies everything we believe that a school should be, and then we open our doors to share our methods with others in hopes that they, too, will do the same. Our entire staff is committed to fostering a dynamic, passionate learning environment where every child is valued, challenged, loved, and nurtured.

Ron Clark Academy Training

The Ron Clark Academy was created to be a model school, and our goal is to extend our reach beyond our student body by having an impact upon students everywhere. Each year, thousands of educators– teachers, administrators, and superintendents– participate in our educator training programs to learn how to replicate RCA’s style, philosophy, and success in their own schools. Those educators return to their classrooms, impacting the lives of 10 million students around the world. We want to create a revolution in education.

Ron Clark Academy Reviews

Ron Clark. Let’s face it, his is a name that many have heard. We have heard him keynote on two occasions, the first dating back to roughly 2004ish. After hearing him speak, people typically fall into two camps.

People either have an amen moment, or they think he is all hype trying to make a buck. Taking that further, he has written a number of books, one of which  I reviewed HERE. Head over to goodreads.com or amazon.comand you will see reviews, both positive and negative. Again, people here fall into two camps.

We had the opportunity to go to the Ron Clark Academy recently. Going in, we were pumped. We were excited. We knew that we taught the way that Ron and his staff teach. I wanted to see teaching like we do without having to worry about being “that teacher who is too loud” next door. I wanted new ideas. I wanted inspiration. Most of all, I wanted to talk to the kids. Let’s be real, most grown ups can talk the talk, and in public, we can even walk the walk. But kids, they will tell you the way it is once you get to know them a bit. I wanted to see these results for myself.
