She even tries to attend half of Capps’ races, leaving the children occasionally in the care of grandparents who are willing to help.

On her recent birth anniversary, the Ron Capps motorsports team wished her a special birthday and called her their biggest cheerleader.
In 2020, Ron shared a series of photographs with his wife on Facebook and penned a sweet note for his lady luck.

Ron Capps Married Life Is Blissful With Shelley
Ron Capps is happily settled with his wife. When Ron was serving on the Top Alcohol Dragster crew, he met his future wife, Shelley La Fave.
After the two met, everything changed in Ron’s life; Shelley played a huge role in his career. It’s not like she came from the same background.
At the time of their marriage, his wife’s parents had no idea about racing, but today Shelley’s mom is one of his biggest supporters.
In an early conversation with ESPN, Shelley shared her biggest concern is that her spouse won’t return home in the wake of Scott Kalitta’s demise in an accident in Englishtown, New Jersey, in June 2008.
Mrs. Capps admitted she does try not to worry about it as she can’t stop Ron from chasing his dream.

Ron Capps is the proud dad of two children i.e., a daughter named Taylor and a son named Caden.
After four years of marriage, the Capps pair welcomed their first child in 1996. Now, Taylor is already 26 years old as of 2022. Shelley gave birth to their son Caden in 2001. Their two children have five years of an age difference.
According to the article by ESPN published in 2008, Ron’s daughter Taylor was a cheerleader in the seventh grade of that fall. In 2016, Taylor (then 20) received her Super Comp competition license at Doug Foley’s Pure Speed drag racing school in Fontana.
