Margaret Astrid Lindholm Ogden (born 1952) is a writer who mainly writes fantasy fiction, but she has also written science fiction. Robin Hobb is her second pen name. She published entirely under the alias Megan Lindholm from 1983 until 1992. The Ki and Vandien stories, for example, cover a wide range of fantasy genres, from epic adventure to urban fantasy (Wizard of the Pigeons.) She started using the moniker Robin Hobb for her conventional fantasy novels in 1995. She resides in Tacoma, Washington, and publishes under both identities. Her first nine Robin Hobb books had sold over one million copies by 2003. She just completed authoring The Rain Wild Chronicles, a four-volume book. The Dragon Keeper, Dragon Haven, City of Dragons, and Blood of Dragons are the titles of the 2013 volumes. The Inheritance, her second most recent book, is a compilation of short stories by both Robin Hobb and Megan Lindholm. In 2013, she revealed that she will write a trilogy on her favourite characters Fitz and the Fool, dubbed The Fitz and the Fool Trilogy. The Fool’s Assassin, the first book, will be released in August 2014 in the United States and the United Kingdom.
