The father of the Highland Park parade shooting suspect funded his son’s application for a gun permit months after family members claimed that Robert E. Crimo III had threatened to kill everyone, according to the Illinois State Police, who also said that there was “insufficient justification” for the application to be rejected.
Police captured 21-year-old Robert Crimo III after a shooter opened fire on a Fourth of July parade in Highland Park, Illinois, killing seven people and injuring two dozen. Bobby, also known as Crimo, was accused of seven first-degree murders on Tuesday.
