The answer to my essay? Apparently 3 weeks. Glad CNN dropped Rick Santorum. Should have happened a long time ago. The double standard in cable news favoring white conservative men with an atrocious history of bigoted comments still exists however.https://t.co/2JsvfkGkRq

What Did Rick Santorum Say To Get Fired From CNN?
Rick Santorum said, “We birthed a nation from nothing. I mean, there was nothing here. I mean, yes, we have Native Americans, but candidly there isn’t much Native American culture in American culture.”
Such racist comments outraged many people and groups, including the National Congress of American Indians. This is the reason for CNN to fire Rick Santorum.
CNN anchor Don Lemon commented that I couldn’t believe the first words out of Rick’s mouth weren’t ‘I’m sorry, I said something ignorant, I need to learn about the history of this country,”
He said. “Did Rick think it was a good idea for him to come on television and try to whitewash the whitewash that he whitewashed?”
