Richie was just 24 years old when he lost his life. It was in the year 1990 in Rural Oklahoma when he, along with his 20-year-old girlfriend and her son, met a violent accident.
According to Country Fan Cast, his girlfriend was driving the car over a hill when her car all of a sudden bumped into the back of a school bus picking up passengers.
The accident claimed not only the life of Richie but also his girlfriend and her 3-year-old son. Blake was just 14 years old at the time.
