The richest woman in Tanzania is Jacqueline Ntuyabaliwe Mengi out from the wealth she inherited from her deceased husband, Dr Reginald Mengi’s estate.
The former Miss Tanzania winner in the year 2000 and music star became an instant billionaire following the unfortunate death of her media mogul husband Dr Reginald Meng.
When Jacqueline Ntuyabaliwe tied the knot with Reginald Mengi in 2015 she was attacked severally by a section of the public. They labelled her a ‘gold digger’ because as at the time they got married she was 35 and Dr Reginald Mengi was 71 years old.
He left behind an estimated fortune of $560 million (Sh56.6 billion) to Jacqueline Ntuyabaliwe Mengi at the time of his death.
Jacqueline Ntuyabaliwe has dedicated the chunk of her time now to the Dr Ntuyabaliwe Foundation after her husband’s unfortunate demise. This foundation is focused on and bettering the lives of kids in low-income areas through literacy campaigns.
