Richard Jonathan Edwin is a 39-year-old man who has been arrested for killing two men in Toronto. Two victims are Kartik Vasudev and Elijah Eleazar Mahepath.
Richard Jonathan Edwin has been arrested in Toronto for the “unprovoked” killings of a 21-year-old international student and a 35-year-old man.
Edwin has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. He was arrested with a cache of loaded guns within reach, according to police.

The police said that Richard was a “stranger” to both men. He fled the crime scene on foot after the killings.

Investigators used surveillance video evidence to link the two killings, tracing the suspect back to his home.
Richard was arrested by members of the Emergency Task Force on Sunday with several firearms “on the floor,” according to Ramer.
Investigators stated that both fatal shootings were “random,” but they could connect them.
Toronto-based Edwin was arrested on Sunday night. Richard Johnathan is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
At the same time, Edwin had no prior criminal record and was in lawful possession of the weapons.
Kartik Vasudev And Elijah Eleazar Mahepath Case Update.
Kartik Vasudev was a 21-year-old victim, a Seneca College international student from India studying marketing. Edwin also killed 35-year-old Elijah Eleazar Mahepath in not less than 48 hours.
The next day, a vigil was held in Nathan Phillips Square in his honor.
Both Vasudev and Mahepath were shot and killed outside in the early evening hours.
Vasudev was shot and killed outside Sherbourne subway station around 5 p.m.
Whereas, Mahepath was shot multiple times near Moss Park shortly before 7 p.m. on Saturday and died in hospital two days later.
