Obinna Nwafor, popularly known as Saint Obi, is one of the biggest Nollywood Stars to rock the screens of Nigerian television. He joined the movie industry in 1995.
He became famous after featuring in the popular NTA commercial series in 1996. He has now starred in more than 250 Nollywood movies. These include Candle Light, Heart of Gold, Goodbye Tomorrow, War Front, Executive Crime, State of Emergency, and The President Must Not Die. In 2001, he produced his first movie, “Take Me to Mama”, where he starred as Jerry, alongside Ebi Sam.
A few years ago, Saint Obi quit acting to focus more on movie production and other businesses. He claims his reason for quitting acting was not because jobs were not coming, as purported. He also explained that being a Star is not about the number of movies one feature in, but how well one acts.
As an entrepreneur, Saint Obi is the Founder and CEO of Agwhyte International Limited – a Production, Talent and Brand Management, and Public Relations Firm based in Nigeria and the U.S.A.
