Affiliate of the NBC network WESH-TV has the story. On Monday, Tron Welborn, 36, was arrested in Volusia County and charged with making written threats to kill or harm others.
Police in the city of Port Orange received a phone from a lady who said she saw a video on YouTube of someone threatening a “mass school shooting in Spruce Creek,” according to the station.
Since Welborn lives in Daytona Beach, police were called to help with the investigation and arrested him.
In a second video, Welborn allegedly threatened to shoot up a Trader Joe’s distribution center in Daytona Beach, where he worked.
In the videos, the suspect, identified as Tron Welborn, made threats against Spruce Creek—unknown whether he’s referring to Spruce Creek Elementary or High School—and threatened to shoot up his place of work.
