Rebecca Jean Fink (née Smallbone; born July 26, 1977) is an Australian-American Christian pop rock singer, songwriter, guitarist, novelist, and actor who goes by the stage names Rebecca Jean and Rebecca St. James. In the late 1980s, she started playing in Australia, and in 1991, she published her first full-length studio album. She was signed to ForeFront Records in 1993 and made her big label debut the following year. St. James gained to prominence in the late 1990s because to her RIAA Gold albums God and Pray, the latter of which received a Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album in 2000.
Several singles from the albums were released, including “God,” “Pray,” and “Yes, I Believe in God.” With four more full-length studio albums since then, she has established herself as one of the most renowned musical performers in Contemporary Christian music (CCM), including Transform, Worship God, If I Had One Chance to Tell You Something, and I Will Praise You. These albums gave birth to classic songs including “Wait for Me,” “Reborn,” “Song of Love,” “I Thank You,” “Alive,” and “Shine Your Glory Down.” St. James has sold more than two million records since she began her career. St. James is an accomplished novelist and actor in addition to her musical career. She has nine published novels to her credit, as well as roles in five films, a musical stage play, and a VeggieTales episode.
