Raven-Symone Mourns the Loss of Brother Blaize Pearman at 31 After Brave Battle with Colon Cancer: A Bittersweet Birthday

In a heartfelt and emotional revelation, Raven-Symone announced on Monday morning that her brother, Blaize Pearman, has passed away at the age of 31 following a courageous two-year struggle with colon cancer. The 38-year-old actress shared the tragic news with her 2.4 million followers through a self-recorded video on Instagram.

In the video, Raven, donned in a black beanie and a blue hoodie, expressed, “Last month, I lost my brother. He is in a better place now. He’s loved and missed. The emotions that have been coming, waving in and out of my body and mind. My family has been a little bit closer.” The actress appeared visibly moved as she spoke, wearing sunglasses and a black Supreme fanny pack draped over her shoulder.

Colon cancer, defined by the Mayo Clinic as “the growth of cells that begins in a part of the large intestine called the colon,” claimed Blaize’s life after a brave two-year battle.

Raven concluded the video by extending gratitude to her friends and family, while also expressing her wishes for a wonderful holiday season. The caption accompanying the post read, ‘Thank you for all the love yesterday. It was felt beyond. Hard to fully celebrate knowing that I’m here and he is not.’ Additionally, she hinted at further revelations about her brother’s untimely death, stating, ‘More on Dec 16.’

The actress, who had celebrated her birthday just two days prior, described the occasion as ‘bittersweet.’ Raven’s famous friends, including The Cheetah Girls star Sabrina Bryan, shared their condolences in the comments section. Bryan wrote, ‘I am so sorry to hear this news, Raven!’

As the entertainment community rallies around Raven-Symone during this difficult time, fans can expect more insights into Blaize Pearman’s life and legacy on December 16, as hinted by the actress herself.
