Raquel Welch has an estimated net worth of $30 million. She is both an actress and a pop culture icon. It was at the very young age of 7 that she started her career in show business doing ballet, which would later become her first passion. She practiced ballet for ten years. When she turned 17, she decided to quit because a ballet instructor told her she didn’t have the right body for it.
It wasn’t until 1950 that she began her acting career. Her first role was in The Romana Pageant, an outdoor play held every year in Hemet, California. From there, she went on to work as a weather forecaster for KFMB in San Diego. It wasn’t until her lead role in Fantasy Voyage that she really became a big star. It was also in that same year she played her most iconic role in One Million Years, BC. Till this day, she is still a very relevant presence in pop culture.
