On Tuesday, two assault and battery cases involving an elderly Trump supporter from Swampscott and a black activist from Boston were dismissed by the Essex County District Attorney’s Office.
The charges against Ernst “Shimmy” Jean Jacques, who was accused of punching Linda Greenberg, an 80-year-old Swampscott resident, after spraying water at him at a pro-Trump rally in December 2020, be dismissed, according to Essex County Assistant District Attorney Danielle Doherty-Wirwicz.
